At Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Province, three types of "association" are available for individuals seeking spiritual enrichment in the Franciscan Felician tradition.

Felician Associates are Christian women and men, married or single, who join in opportunities for praying, sharing, and developing friendships with the Sisters. They make annual commitments to foster the spirit of Blessed Mary Angela Truszkowska and to the mission of the Felician Sisters "to cooperate with Christ in the spiritual renewal of the world."

Active Associates gather monthly to pray, to share the vision of Blessed Mary Angela as manifested in today's world, and to sponsor special events and activities for the Sisters.

Prayer Associates have completed a year of preparatory formation sessions but, because of distance, health, or other commitments, are unable to be actively involved in the many events of this program in Coraopolis. They maintain their association with us through a ministry of prayer.

Junior Associates participate through a program for youth initiated at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart High School.
The students learn about Franciscan values and the lives of Blessed Mary Angela, Saint Felix, and Saint Francis. They sponsor certain activities for the Sisters throughout the school year. In a formal ceremony, they commit themselves to pray for vocations, reach out to the poor, and connect with the Sisters in friendship whenever possible.

If you are interested in becoming a Felician Associate, please contact Sister Mary Faith Balawejder.
