Fair Trade is a trading partnership based on dialogue, transparency, and respect that seeks greater equity in international trade. It contributes to sustainable development by offering better trading conditions to, and securing the rights of, marginalized producers and workers, especially in the global South.

The Felician Sisters support the CRS Coffee Project -- a partnership between Catholic Relief Services and Equal Exchange that promotes Fair Trade. By ensuring that farmers earn a fair price for their coffee, Fair Trade keeps struggling, small-scale farmers from poverty and hunger as world prices reach historic lows.
